Currently in the first year of my Higher National Diploma in Media course, I am having a fantastic time at Strafford Upon Avon College. Having studied A Levels in Media, dance and Drama, I decided I wanted to embark on a higher education course in Media.

The course here is ideal for me it is extremely practical and there is an extensive range of equipment available to students, including a television studio. Avid software, a new Apple Mac suite and more. This course has presented me with some amazing opportunities. I have been involved with some filming work for the BBC, and now have a chance to apply for work experience with them. In my second year I will travel to New York to film a documentary as a part of our film studies work. Once I have completed the HND course, my plan is to go to university for a top up year to achieve a degree level qualification, with the ultimate aim of carving a successful career in television or film.

The best thing about life in the UK is the unmistakable cultural diversity.The environment is superb and it makes for a very suitable place for everybody to study all fields.
