The facilities offered at the Rice University are outstanding. I completed the PhD program from the department of Electrical and Computer Engg. My thesis was titled Feedback in Multiple Antenna Wireless Systems: Bounds, Design Criterion and Construction. Dr. Behnaam Aazhang, a highly experienced person, was my advisor for the degree.

I had done my B.Tech, from IIT, Madras and completed masters degree at the Rice University. Having already done my masters from the same department at the university made it easy for me to enroll for the PhD program.

I was awarded the Rice University Fellowship, 1998-1999. I was also offered Research Assistantship by the University.

My interests include Wireless Communications, MIMO Systems, Information and Coding Theory and Digital Signal Processing. The PhD research has mainly focused on designing efficient multiple antenna systems to support high data rates for future wireless applications. I also had the opportunity to publish papers.

I did a Summer Internship program at Nokia Research Center, Irving, TX (summer 1999 and 2000). As a Research Assistant I was involved in the analysis and design of multiple antenna transmission schemes in the presence of varying amounts of channel feedback. All these added to my rich work and research experience.
