I was very intersted in drug designing and having studied pharmacy in my undergraduation I wanted to round off my education by doing research in a reputed university abroad. I had applied for 4 universities and got admits from Clarkson University and Louisiana. A few of my seniors I got in touch with, suggested Louisiana...an excellent university to do research.

My GRE score at the time of applying was 1350. Initially my interview proceeded smoothly, but suddenly the VO got the idea that I may settle down in the US as a registered pharmacist. I had a tough time trying to convince him otherwise, only once he was totally satisfied did he issue the visa!! Guys, Just make sure you stress on the fact that you plan to get back to India after you complete your program.

We had very good research facilities and our professors were highly experienced and dedicated.

Ample opportunities to work as a pharmacoeconomics research scientist. There are several pharmaceutical industries in India like Ranbaxy, Cipla, Sun pharma and Dr.Reddy's labs which will readily absorb research scientists.
