Alabama State University, founded in 1867, is a black university located in Montgomery, Alabama. The University has an enrollment of around 5,000 students. The most popular courses offered by the university are in the fields of health sciences, forensics and international business. The university's 8 major academic units include the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business Administration, the College of Health Sciences, the College of Visual and Performing Arts, the Division of Aerospace (Air Force ROTC), the School of Graduate Studies and University College.
