Appalachian is a public institution and part of The University of North Carolina System. The university is located in downtown Boone, NC and the current enrollment is around 15,900. The university awards Bachelors, Masters, Specialists, Graduate Certificates and Doctorate degrees. Besides the main campus at Boone there is 1 off-campus center in New York City. Appalachian offers its study programs within the four academic colleges (Arts and Sciences, Fine and Applied Arts, Education and Business) and the School of Music. Additionally, Appalachian also offers a doctorate of education.
