The School Of The Art Institute Of Chicago was originally founded as the Chicago Academy of Design in 1866 by a group of studio artists. The institute moved to its current iconic location on Michigan Avenue, Chicago in 1893. The current total enrollment is 2935. The school awards undergraduate and graduate degrees.
