Forest Institute of Professional Psychology was established in 1979 and is located in Springfield, Missouri. The school's sole purpose has been to provide an alternative to traditional PhD programs for individuals desiring an education preparing them to serve primarily as direct providers of mental health services rather than as researchers or academicians. The institute awards post graduate degrees, masters and doctoral degrees in the fields of Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy Program and Pain Management.
