The University of Florida, established in 1853, is a public research university, located in Gainesville, Florida. The university currently enrolls more than 46,000 students and awards undergraduate, graduate and professional degrees. The colleges in the university are: Dentistry, Public Health, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Veterinary, Business, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Public Service, Health and Human Performance, Engineering, Law, Journalism and Communications, Agricultural and Life Sciences, and Accounting. Professional degree programs include dentistry, law, medicine, pharmacy and veterinary medicine.
