Virginia Commonwealth University, a public institution, is located in downtown Richmond, Virginia. The university was established in 1838 and currently enrolls 32,000 students. It operates out of two main campuses in Richmond: the Monroe Park Campus and the Medical College of Virginia Campus. All the academic programs span across the schools and colleges at Virginia, namely, Humanities & Sciences, Mass Communications, World Studies, Government and Public Affairs, Allied Health Professions, Arts, Business, Dentistry, Education, Engineering, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Social Work.
