It is a public research university that operates out of two branch campuses besides the main campus. It offers 150 undergraduate and more than 200 graduate degree programs. The colleges at the university are: Fine Arts, Humanities, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Optical Sciences, Pharmacy, Public Health, Science, and Social and Behavioral Sciences.
