University of Texas Medical Branch was established in 1891 and is located in Galveston, Texas. Currently the student enrollment is 2,338. It is a public institution that operates out of the School of Health Professions, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, Graduate school of Biomedical Sciences, East Texas Area Health Education Centre, University of Texas Continuing Medical Education Partnership Program and College of Graduate Medical Education. Through these colleges, the University offers graduate, undergraduate and doctoral programs in areas like Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
